Conditions where intravenous fluids may be appropriate include illnesses such gastroenteritis, severe infection or tonsillitis, hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnancy (morning sickness), and post-excessive alcohol where oral re-hydration is not tolerated. Our Doctors are able to administer intravenous medications such as anti-emetics (or nausea mediation) and antibiotics where appropriate.

Iron infusions is becoming an increasingly popular options for iron therapy replacement. Intravenous iron therapy may be required where oral iron supplementation is inadequate, not tolerated, or inappropriate. Intravenous iron infusions make be an option to quickly replenish iron stores and correct symptoms of tiredness and anaemia.
